The 2025 Bar Association Exam (آزمون وکالت کانون وکلای دادگستری) registration period has officially begun. Candidates interested in obtaining a license to practice law should take note of the following important details:

Key Details

• Registration period: From 23 Shahrivar 1404 to 7 Mehr 1404.

• Exam date: 15 Aban 1404

Eligibility Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law (Shahare-ye Karshenasi-ye Hoquq) or Bachelor’s in Fiqh and Principles of Islamic Law or an equivalent qualification (university or religious seminary) recognized by the competent authority.

• Applicants with only Master’s or PhD in these fields are not eligible if their undergraduate degree is in a non-relevant major.

• The graduation date must be before the registration date.

Other Conditions

• Age limit: Maximum age is 40 years for Tehran jurisdiction and 50 years for other jurisdictions.

• Military service (for males): Must have completed service or have permanent exemption prior to registration.

Exam Scoring & Pass Criteria

• The numeric quota (capacity limit) has been removed, under the Business Licensing Facilitation Law (سال ۱۴۰۱).

• Admission is now based on achieving a floating scientific standard: those who rank in the top 1% (based on “T-score” or the standardized score) and have achieved at least 70% of the average score of that top-1% among applicants will be accepted.

1. Visit the Sanjesh (National Assessment and Educational Testing Organization) website.

2. Purchase the registration serial (card) and pay the registration fee.

3. Fill in the online registration form, upload necessary documents/scanned certificates.

4. Confirm and receive the tracking/confirmation code.
